How Glow in the Dark Stickers Work
Glow in the dark stickers are made with a photoluminescent material. It absorbs light from the sun or a lamp and then gives that light back slowly when the room goes dark. No battery or power is needed, and the sticker can be charged again and again.
We print your design on glow material, so you decide which parts glow. Areas left unprinted, or printed with light colours, glow brightest; areas printed in dark ink block the glow. This lets a logo, text or pattern appear on its own in the dark. Tell us what should glow and we show it on the free digital proof.
How bright and how long a sticker glows depends on the glow material and on how long and how strongly it was charged. If you have a target, such as visible all night in a bedroom or readable for a few minutes after the lights go off, tell us and we recommend the material and send samples to test.
Glow stickers are popular for brand merch and giveaways, toy and party packaging, ceiling and wall decorations, keyboard and light-switch labels, and markers on equipment that has to be found in the dark. For certified emergency or exit signage, the glow material must meet the safety standard of your market; we print the label, but we do not certify safety signs.
