Roll Label Specifications: What Your Labeling Machine Needs

1. Label size and shape

Send the finished label width and height, the corner radius or custom die shape, and the product it goes on. For bottles and jars, tell us the container size so the label wraps cleanly.

2. Core size

The core is the tube the labels are wound on, and it has to fit your applicator's unwind shaft. Check the inside diameter your machine takes (1 inch and 3 inch cores are common) and tell us before production.

3. Unwind direction

Labels can come off the roll in different directions, and your machine needs one specific direction. If you are not sure, send a photo of a roll running on your machine or the applicator model, and we confirm the direction with you.

4. Label gap

The gap is the space between labels on the liner. Applicators use it to detect each label, so give us the gap your machine is set for.

5. Outer diameter and labels per roll

Your applicator holds a roll up to a maximum outer diameter. Tell us that limit, or the number of labels you want per roll, and we confirm both before production.

6. Material and adhesive

Choose BOPP, PET, coated paper, kraft paper, synthetic paper or clear film, with permanent, removable, high-tack or freezer / all-temperature adhesive. Tell us about water, oil, freezer or alcohol exposure and we match the material and confirm it on the sample.
