How to Choose Label Materials for Water, Freezer and Alcohol Exposure

The right label depends on what it will face: water, oil, alcohol, a refrigerator or a freezer. This guide explains the materials and adhesives we print in our own Shenzhen factory, and what to tell us so we can match them and confirm them on your sample.

1. Start with the exposure

Exposure	What to tell us

Oil and grease	Food jars, cosmetics or industrial oils on the surface
Alcohol	Hand sanitizer, spirits or alcohol-based cleaning
Refrigerator	Cold storage and condensation when containers come out

2. Choose the material

PET (clear, matte or gloss silver)	Clear "no-label" looks and metallic finishes on bottles

Our vinyl, BOPP and PET labels are waterproof. For oil, alcohol, refrigerator or freezer exposure, we match the material and adhesive to your use and confirm them on the sample.

3. Choose the adhesive

Permanent acrylic — the standard for most bottles, jars and packaging

Removable — for promotional and temporary use

•
High-tack — for difficult or textured surfaces

•
Freezer / all-temperature — for cold storage and frozen products

•
Wash-off — for returnable and recyclable containers

4. Protect the print

Gloss or matte lamination protects the print from handling and moisture. For longer outdoor exposure, UV-resistant film, inks and lamination are available on vinyl stickers.

5. Confirm it on a sample

Tell us the surface, the exposure and how the product is stored. We recommend the material, adhesive and finish, send a free design proof, and confirm the construction on your sample before production.

Our vinyl, BOPP and PET labels are waterproof. Tell us about oil, alcohol, refrigeration or freezer exposure, and we will match the material and adhesive and confirm them on the sample.

Yes, we offer freezer / all-temperature adhesive options. Tell us the storage conditions and whether the label goes on before or after freezing, and we confirm it on the sample.
