A flat sheet label and a label built for a curved container are not the same product. Bottles, jars, tins and tubes each present their own combination of curvature, surface material and handling conditions, and a label that isn't matched to that combination will wrinkle at the seam, lift at the edge, or lose adhesion the first time the container gets wet. Sizing a label correctly starts with the container, not the artwork. The key number is the wrap length: the total distance the label needs to travel around the bottle or jar at the point where it will sit. To find it, measure the diameter of the container at that spot and multiply by pi (roughly 3.14) — a 5cm-diameter jar needs about 15.7cm of wrap length, a 7cm-diameter bottle needs about 22cm. We build in a small overlap or butt-seam allowance depending on your preferred finish, and every order includes a free proof showing the exact finished dimensions before we cut a single roll, so there's no guesswork on your end.

Adhesion is the second variable that changes by container type. Rigid glass and hard plastic bottles hold a standard permanent adhesive well, since the surface doesn't move. Squeeze bottles and tubes are different — the container flexes each time it's used, and a standard adhesive can crack or lift at the fold. We match squeeze and flexible packaging with a more pliable, squeeze-resistant adhesive that moves with the container instead of fighting it, so the label stays bonded through the life of the product.

Durability matters just as much as fit. Kitchen jars get splashed with water and oil, bathroom bottles sit in humid, wet environments, and cosmetic containers are handled with wet or oily hands multiple times a day. We produce these labels in waterproof vinyl, PP and PET film that resist water, oil and repeated handling without the print smearing or the edges curling — the same durability standard we apply across all of our waterproof label lines.
